Privacy
This covers setpointfpv.com and its mailing list. Flight sharing in the Setpoint app is explained in the app, where you turn it on or off.
- This site
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no scripts. The only cookie is a short-lived one on the unsubscribe page, described below.
- What the list keeps
- Your email address, whether you’ve confirmed it, when you signed up and confirmed, and a token for your unsubscribe link.
- What it’s for
- A confirmation email, then one email when Setpoint is released. Your address is never shared or sold. It is used because you asked, and you confirm that by clicking the link.
- How long
- Until you unsubscribe, which deletes your address. If you don’t confirm within seven days, the link stops working and your address is deleted.
- IP addresses
- Never stored. To stop the form being abused, recent requests are counted against a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash is used for about a minute, is never read after that, and is deleted automatically.
- Logs
- No email address or IP address is written to Setpoint’s logs, and the site keeps no access logs.
- The cookie
- Opening an unsubscribe link sets one cookie, holding that link’s token for 15 minutes so the unsubscribe page can use it. It is deleted when you unsubscribe.
- Who
- Setpoint is made and run by Ross Bamford, who is responsible for this data. The list is stored and the email sent by Amazon Web Services.
- Your choices
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. To ask anything about your data, email hello@setpointfpv.com. In the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
